Material needed.

Material needed.

If you sew, you probably have a stash of material just sitting around waiting for the right thing to make. If it’s 100% cotton and you’re willing to pre-wash and iron it, we would be glad to put it to use making children’s comfort quilts.

Sew Good Quilts

Sew Good Quilts

If you look at our Gallery, you will see samples of the kind of quilts we will be making at “Giving Back”. These are either print top or patch quilts lined with a synthetic batting and finished with a combination of machine and tie quilting. The first skill that those who come to our program will be taught will be to use a sewing machine and be able to sew a straight seam. Once that is accomplished, the sky is the limit.

Ready, Set. Bake!

Ready, Set. Bake!

Again, if you look at our gallery you will see an assortment of some of the items we bake at Giving Back. Above are our famous Banana, Rhubarb and Carrot Muffins. All these recipes  represent comfort foods from home kitchens in our community. We would love to see someone who comes to Giving Back one day open a bakery that offers these delicious baked goods for everyone to enjoy!
